Geneva Flower Clock ⇒ Switzerland ღ

Geneva Flower Clock or L'horloge fleurie, located in the Jardin Anglais (English Garden ). Floral clock is a large decorative clock with the clock face formed by carpet bedding, usually found in a park or other public recreation area.

Clock nuanced of different colors and flower gardens, situated not far from Lake Geneva, this clock is a symbol that combines the capabilities of technology in Switzerland, in making the clock with the arrangement of garden and environment art.

Geneva's Horlage fleurie was created in 1955 and while it is not the first of it's kind, it was the lagest until 2005 when it was suppressed by a larger flower clock in Tehran, Iran

Location around the clock has become one of the park which is always the centre of attention for tourist to relax. and usually around the site, be a place of art and cultural performance sometimes.

If u visit Geneva often you may notice that the clock looks different at Various times during the year. this is because the floral and shrub arrangement change each time the seasons change.

Most have the mechanism set in the ground under the flowerbed, which is then planted to visually appear as a clock face with moving arms which may also hold bedding plants. this is a way to mark the change in seasons as well as track time of day.
